What You'll Be Doing

**Job Scope:** Generally responsible for providing cost tracking, reporting, analyzing and investigation support for turnarounds (large and small).

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

+ Building the needed cost tracking tools during the FEL phase of the turnaround

+ Identifying needed resources to assist with turnaround cost tracking

+ Resolving work order discrepancies with the planners as needed

+ Technically and functionally maintain all assigned turnaround cost tracking tools and templates.

+ Assist turnaround manager and coordinator with the development of initial turnaround estimate based on the defined work inventory.

+ Resolve un-reconciled charges in the turnaround cost center

+ Monitoring turnaround work orders for correct turnaround revision codes, work centers, activity types, etc.

+ Notify all service providers and contractors of cost tracking expectations and provide reporting templates.

+ Update the cost tracking tool daily during the execution of the turnarounds.

+ Provide and update the daily cost reports to leadership team

+ Contact ALL Contract Service and Material providers for “final” invoice billing during the PO follow-up process.

+ Provide cost tracking, reporting, analyzing and investigation support for daily maintenance activities.

Additional responsibilities include:

+ Owns and updates the maintenance loaded plan monthly and provide input to spending forecast for input into business reporting templates

+ Participate in annual cost center budgeting

+ Provides details of charges against the maintenance cost centers and ensure correct alignments.

+ Review and analyze contractor timesheet data, exception reports, timeclock data and billing data for discrepancies and investigate accordingly.

+ Own the maintenance accrual process and provide business accountants accrual list by required due date.

+ Lead budget reviews with management team

Ideal Background

**Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master degree in Construction Science, Building Science or advanced coursework is highly preferred.

**Certification:** No certification is required for this position.

**Experience:** This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

+ Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.

+ Extreme attention to detail.

+ Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines.

+ Understanding of existing and potential customer deliverable expectations and preferences.

+ Ability to set priorities.

+ Ability to effectively discuss and correspond with engineering disciplines and/or contractors to ascertain and understand pertinent information concerning schedules, scopes of work, estimates and/or project costs.

+ Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Excellent presentation skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

+ Knowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.

+ Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all project controls deliverables.

+ Ability to develop a construction cost estimate, a detailed engineering schedule and a man-hour budget for a small project or an area for a larger project.

+ Ability to determine construction material quantities.

+ Experienced in estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work.

+ Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.

+ Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software and Timberline Estimating software.

+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
