Job Summary
Under the supervision of KUER and PBS Utah lead engineers, provides engineering and technological support to KUER , Avanza and PBS Utah.
Responsibilities
Duties include:
+ Assist in maintaining and securing necessary repairs and upgrades for audio field studio and post-production equipment, including proper care and storage, preventive maintenance and repair and documentation for all equipment
+ Assist in ensuring that KUER , Avanza, PBS Utah and all associated signals have a high quality technical and aesthetic audio
+ Gain an understanding into how to work with and select equipment for providing highest professional broadcast quality
+ May assist production staff in proper operation of audio production equipment and studios
+ Assist the engineer with studio and transmitter site technical maintenance tasks as needed
+ Component level equipment repair as skills and learning curves permit
+ Studio documentation updates as skills and learning curves permit
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); two years of related experience; a commitment to provide excellent customer service; and effective communication skills required.
