    Join Caterpillar Inc. as an **Electrical Systems and Integration Engineer** (internally know as a Senior Design Engineer) and be a part of innovative design development while collaborating with a dynamic team. As a Senior Engineer, you will provide critical electrical design integration support for Paving Products, including NPI, CPI, BIQ, Aftermarket Growth, Parts Resourcing, Assurance of Supply and Cost Reduction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and stretch your engineering skills while developing electrical systems and installations to meet internal and external customer requirements achieving time, cost, and quality goals.     What You Will Do:

    + Lead global team in the design of new products, processes, components, and systems.

    + Provide technical guidance on product needs, analysis, and initiation of new ideas.

    + Communicate results to global customers, suppliers, team members, and representatives from other business units.

    + Responsible to direct and contribute to schedule, planning, cost, quality, BOM, validation and collaboration with internal/external customers/suppliers for electrical installation on Paving machines.

    + Delegate and direct portions of the design to other supporting engineers to achieve goals.

    + Conduct thorough technical reviews to guarantee the reliability and resilience of designs.

    + Play a pivotal role in supporting Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Assurance of Supply (AoS), and Cost Reduction initiatives.

    + Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.

    + Perform product maintenance.

    What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

    + **Degree:** Bachelor’s degree in engineering (strong preference towards an electrical engineering degree)

    + **Technical Excellence:** Proficiency in electrical schematic development and electrical component integration demonstrates a strong foundation in technical skills essential for this role.

    + **Effective Communication:** Strong collaboration and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft O365, facilitate clear interaction and efficient teamwork within the cross-functional environments.

    + **Analytical Thinking:** The ability to troubleshoot technical problems and optimize designs requires sharp analytical thinking to identify and address complex issues effectively.

    + **Design for Manufacturing:** Experience in engineering and product testing, coupled with knowledge of design for manufacturing principles, ensures the development of practical and efficient solutions that enhance product quality and manufacturability.

    + **Team Mentorship:** Mentoring, coaching or indirect leadership experience to delegate tasks to supporting engineers and coordinating efforts within the team is crucial for successful project execution and fostering a collaborative work environment.

    + **Product Testing:** Proficiency in conducting thorough product testing ensures the validation of design integrity and functionality, contributing to the delivery of high-quality and reliable products.

    + **Troubleshooting Technical Problems:** Proficient at troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques to quickly identify root causes and develop solutions to ensure high quality products.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $110,520.00 - $165,840.00
