Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a CAD Drafter to support multi-utility construction company in Westerville, OH. This is a full time, on-site role ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to break into the telecom and utility design industry. You'll work closely with engineers and drafters to produce construction and permit drawings using CAD software, contributing to the development of fiber optic infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate preliminary construction and permit plans from field notes and sketches.

Create final working drawings using CAD software in accordance with technical specifications.

Collaborate with engineers to ensure drafting standards and design requirements are met.

Assist in design drafting and revisions as needed.

Perform a variety of drafting and documentation tasks as assigned.

This is a direct hire position starting at $45,760

Skills and Requirements

1-3 years of experience using CAD in an professional or project-based setting

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn. Familiarity with fiber optic or utility design
