Overview:
Serves in a leadership position responsible for developing and maintaining a business model for onboarding new business contracts and deal structures.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines for the transaction management model and the Structured Finance product expansion, including working with all support and operational groups to develop document standards suitable to Wilmington Trust.
+ Maintain significant market presence for the business by attending conferences, assisting sales with client meetings and facilitating calls and presentations with rating agencies as required
+ Participate in industry-wide initiatives as well as internal product development initiatives.
+ Assist Sales with business development initiatives.
+ Serve as internal liaison for all support groups surrounding the Structured Finance Product Expansion.
+ Attend to escalated client issues and ensure they are prioritized appropriately.
+ Maintain relationships as a business line leader with industry law firms, investment banks, deal parties and rating agencies.
+ May manage multiple Transaction Management Leaders for specific asset types.
+ Maintain profitability for the entire Transaction Management Team.
+ Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
+ Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
+ Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
+ Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Education and Experience** **Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years’ related experience , or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 13 year’s higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 9 years’ related experience
Minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience
Proven experience negotiating legal contracts
Education and Experience** **Preferred:
MBA (Master’s degree in Business Administration) or JD (Juris Doctor)
Minimum of 15 years’ related experience
Strong legal background

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $188,648.20 - $314,413.67 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
