+ GENERAL SUMMARY
+ The PFNE Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing the actions of the PFNE involved in forensic evidence collection at the request of the police department. The supervisor will be proficient in the technical and professional skills of the supervised job functions and may engage in staff job duties as part of the assigned work duties. Reports to the Executive Director of the Child Abuse Program.
+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Ensures the quality and quantity of work performance of the PFNE is consistent with policy and standard.
+ Assists the medical team with the Forensic Clinic, Inpatient and Outpatient Consults and Foster Care Clinics.
+ Sets forensic standards and communicates regularly with the Executive Director and Medical Director to ensure that all protocol is followed concerning forensic evaluation and that the PFNEs are adhering to current medical standards and current changes in the law affecting forensic evaluations of children.
+ Acts as hiring manager for the PFNE Program in conjunction with the Executive Director of the Child Abuse Program and is responsible for reviewing PFNE applications, setting interviews, and conducting interviews.
+ Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the PFNE staff and taking corrective and disciplinary actions as necessary.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
+ Registered Nurse designation required.
+ MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
+ Approximately two to three years progressively more responsible related work experience or minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
+ Professional knowledge of areas of responsibility in order to assist in the planning and implementation of department activities.
+ Interpersonal skills necessary in order to assign work to subordinates.
+ Must have completed all didactic and clinical requirements in a PFNE training program.
+ Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.
+ Increased Security Clearance may be Required: Recurring FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, Child Protective Services registry search, and Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender.
+ Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
+ WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
