TYPE OF POSITION: Civilian non-classified
SUMMARY: This position is assigned to the State Personnel Branch (SPB) of the Idaho Military Division’s (IMD) Human Resources Office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative human resources support and assistance to the public and to a large (460+) geographically disbursed workforce engaged in a wide variety of missions and occupations.

MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.)
(2) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable NACI/T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable NACI/T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Must have 12 months of specialized experience performing related duties as specified in the announcement.
(1) Basic knowledge of a wide variety of human resource support activities to include employee benefits, payroll, information management, classification, and employee relations sufficient to determine, with limited information, the appropriate professional to resolve customer issues.
(2) Knowledge of professional communication methods and techniques sufficient to exchange information in writing or verbally, to communicate with a variety of customers at all levels, with varying degrees of understanding, with tact and diplomacy.
(3) Knowledge of common software applications used in human resources services and the ability to use a variety of automated systems and software applications to prepare correspondence, populate forms, maintain existing databases and spreadsheets. Preferred proficiency in Luma, Microsoft Office programs, and Adobe Acrobat.
(4) Knowledge of and skill in incorporating principles of good administration and organization; ability to establish priorities, adjust, and respond to changing issues, requirements and situations; skill in analyzing incoming tasks with multiple sequential processes that may not be immediately identifiable (2nd/3rd order effects, and/or verification of incoming data against existing information/records).
