Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse accounting systems and contribute to the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger in alignment with accounting standards.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and classification.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial records.

• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records through thorough analysis. Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing month-end close activities.

• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
