Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in East Falmouth, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and maintaining financial records. This position requires a strong understanding of financial systems and processes, along with the ability to thrive in a paper-intensive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process the full accounts payable cycle, including verifying goods and services, vouchering, and matching invoices to purchase orders.

• Conduct weekly check runs, including both electronic and paper-based payment methods.

• Maintain organization and accuracy while working in a paper-heavy environment.

• Reconcile vendor and bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to manage prepaid and regular expense accounts.

• Utilize large-scale accounting systems effectively to support financial operations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards throughout all payable processes.

• Assist in maintaining accurate records for audits and financial reporting purposes. Requirements • Proven experience working in accounts payable within a mid to large-sized organization.

• Strong knowledge of the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

• Familiarity with prepaid expenses and their accounting treatment.

• Proficiency in handling purchase orders and matching them with invoices.

• Experience working in a paper-intensive environment with a focus on accuracy and organization.

• Understanding of large-scale accounting systems and their functionalities.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
