We are looking for a driven and curious Design Manager to join our Program Management Team leading a large program. As a key member of our Project Management Team, you’ll provide the day- to- day support (management) and execution of design management functions for projects and programs. You will be managing 3rd party design teams and client stakeholders and be responsible for cost control and schedule monitoring, analysis, forecasting, and reporting of the design phase of the project. * BA or BS or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
* 8+ years of related design management experience on large programs and ground up construction.
* Proven experience setting up new projects and processes at client sites
* Ability to develop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections to identify and quantify critical budgetary, cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk factors
* Experience Managing Design with large client stakeholder teams in higher education and healthcare for ground up facilities on large, phased campuses.
* Proficiency in design software and project management tools.
* Ability to develop, implement, and maintain standard program procedures for project design approvals and design changes
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
* Understanding of operational business processes in the Engineering and Construction industry
