Summary This position is located within the Fort Eisenhower Business Operations Division - Eisenhower Club. Hours of operation will be identified upon interview with hiring official. Responsibilities Serves as working leader of 3 or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work. Passes on to other workers instructions received from supervisor, and starts work (by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led). Obtains needed information or decisions from the supervisor on problems that come up during the work and answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, and instructions. Receives guests, takes orders, maintains sales record, and collects cash or payment by credit card. May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicants must meet state/local age requirements (18 years old) for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. 2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change. 3. Be able to communicate effectively in English. 4. Have work experience performing waiter duties. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
