EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 120 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Case Manager to join our ERASE program in Central Islip.
+ Wage:$22 to $25 per hour
+ Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday- Friday
+ Location: 400 Carleton Ave, Central Islip NY
+ Reports To: Division Director
What Drives This Role:
TheCase Manageris responsible for assisting the Supervisor of the ERASE/EIP Program in coordinating and monitoring the program.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Act as a liaison among CSEB & the Department of Social Services, Hearing Magistrates & court personnel, County Attorneys, Respondents, Petitioners and/or Assignors.
+ Interview newly-ordered Respondents (at court) to provide them with an explanation of their court orders, as well as information on how, when and where to make their child support payments. You'll provide information regarding the process to file a petition or any other enforcement procedure.
+ Mail out all relevant payment information to parties who do not stay/attend court appearance.
+ Perform system searches and update all relevant information in the DSS court computer retrieved through the interview.
+ Contact employers to verify employment.
+ Prepare materials necessary on a monthly basis for Child Support Seminar.
+ Perform clerical work such as filing, logging, tracking, sending letters, returning phone calls, etc.
+ Perform all other relevant duties as determined by supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration
Key Requirements For This Role:
+ High school diploma or educational equivalent required. Degree in Behavioral Sciences or Criminal Justice preferred.
+ Minimum of two years of relevant work experienceand knowledge of administration procedures required.
+ Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
+ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skill -Bilingual is a plus!
+ Must have access to automobile and possess a valid driver’s license to operate in NY State.
