The program security officer will provide comprehensive security assistance and oversite to all facets of the program security, including, personnel, physical, technical, industrial, and operational security.

**Core responsibilities of the position include** :

+ Provide security advice and support program personnel and industry partners on personnel security, such as required paperwork for personnel security clearances; appropriate clearance levels; tracking/checking status; ensuring paperwork is complete prior to submission; and ensuring the personnel security database of record is accurate and current.

+ Provide expert security advice and assistance to customer, industrial partners and venders.

+ Assist and provide advice regarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Control System, including classification management and classification review of information specifically protected under the program office.

+ Brief and debrief program and contractor personnel into/out of compartmented programs. Ensure accurate personnel security data is documented/represented in sponsor’s system(s) of record.

+ Investigate security incidents and potential security violations.

+ Monitor Special Access Programs (SAP).

**Required experience** :

+ 2-5 years’ experience performing PSO functions for national security.

+ Experience working in Special Access Programs (SAP).

+ Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance.

+ Experience supporting compartmented programs.

+ Possess basic understanding of COMSEC functions.

+ US government issued TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required at time of application.
