    We have recently merged the Defense Shop Visit Modeling Team with our Defense Piece Parts Forecasting Team and we’re excited about innovating within the forecasting space as we connect these two processes to ensure we send the most accurate signal to supply chain to provide the customer with the right parts at the right time. The ideal candidate embraces problem solving through adoption of FLIGHT DECK principles and tools and has expertise in the digital space to enable operational efficiencies. In addition to forecasting scope, this role will also be embedded in the DLS core team.

    Role Overview:

    As the Defense Forecasting Specialist, you will lead shop visit and piece part forecasting for J85, TF34, and MEM engine programs. This position is on−site/hybrid/remote and will focus on improving forecast accuracy, rebuilding trust in the supply base, and driving operational efficiencies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage digital tools, AI, and FLIGHT DECK principles to continuously improve forecasting processes and inventory management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead J85, TF34, and MEM shop visit and piece part forecasting, collaborating with Spares, Product Line, CSMs, FSRs, and other stakeholders to capture assumptions and up-to-date input data for forecast accuracy.

    + Support TrueChoice Defense proposal development for all product lines through analysis of projected maintenance profiles, cost models, and part quantities.

    + Partner with the Digital Logistics & Sustainment (DLS) team to enable operational efficiencies in forecasting processes, improving forecast accuracy, rebuilding trust in the supply base, and enhancing contract execution and inventory management.

    + Collaborate with the Forecasting Process Leader to define digital requirements within the DLS landscape, aligning with current business needs and utilizing industry forecasting and optimization methods.

    + Embrace FLIGHT DECK principles, digital tools, and AI to drive continuous improvement across shop visit and parts forecasting processes.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    The ideal candidate is a collaborative and analytical professional who embraces problem-solving through the adoption of FLIGHT DECK principles and tools. They are committed to driving innovation, improving processes, and delivering accurate forecasting signals to support business success.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.

    + 5+ years of experience in Materials Management, Sourcing/Procurement, Operations, or Digital Technology.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Digital Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.

    + Demonstrated application of FLIGHT DECK principles and tools.

    + Familiarity with industry forecasting and optimization methodologies.

    + Proficiency in Python, R, Alteryx, or other programming languages.

    + Understanding of Spares, Services, MRO, and Supply Chain processes.

    + Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Additional Information:

    The base pay range for this position is $109,800 to 168,300. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on May 23rd, 2025
