Job Description
Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern
Teledyne ETM has an opening for a full-time summer intern. This is an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering student to gain experience working with our team of engineers. This is a temporary position. Expected wage is $25/hour.
Responsibilities:
+ Engineering documentation support – test procedures, document clean-up, research components and locate spec sheets
+ Engineering analysis and/or testing
+ Some design work – support a Senior Engineer with some minor design efforts
+ Some integration effort that supports the design work
+ Obsolescence and qualification – help determine suitable replacements for parts that have or will become obsolete and help to set up a plan to qualify the parts
+ Help investigate non-conformance issues and assist in writing failure reports
+ Other duties as assigned
Requirements
+ 2-3 years of completed coursework in Mechanical Engineering
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
