    Responsibilities

    The ED Tech in the Emergency Room is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent.

    + Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.

    + Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. Possess knowledge of Medical terminology.

    + Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.

    + Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.

     

    Saint Michaels Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $20.76. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
