    We are currently seeking a 40-hour Outpatient Physical Therapist for our Boston location. Be a part of our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, rehabilitation for our pediatric patients. Our PTs help patients — from newborns to young adults — gain movement, strength, coordination, balance, and function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Performing complex diagnostic evaluations upon referral and in accordance with departmental and professional guidelines and standards

    + Reviewing patient medical history/record and selects, administers, and interprets standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients’ functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function.

    + Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendations

    + Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs.

    + Establishing treatment goals and administers appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities

    + Discharge plans and home treatment programs, and providing education to patients and families

    + Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.

    + Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs.

    + Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, and initiating modifications as needed.

    + Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according to established documentation standards.

    + Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.

    + Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy

    Experience:

    + One to two years of previous physical therapy experience preferred. Pediatric experience is highly preferred.

    Licensure/Certifications:

    + Active Physical Therapist licensure in the state of MA

     

    Schedule is M-F
