    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineering and Integration Manager. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA or alternatively at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.

     

    The candidate will be responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to a team of 12-15 engineers and/or technicians across multiple engineering topics at the platform level. The manager will be required to be competent in multiple platform subsystems across the mission performance, as well as having competencies in systems engineering tasks to understand the requirements, interfaces, design, and achievement of mission execution. Daily activities include overseeing the projects and tasks assigned to the technical team and ensuring achievement of schedule, technical, and operational goals. This role is expected to support and implement the systems engineering processes and policies and make recommendations to modify or update those policies back to the Functional Homeroom (FHR). This role will act as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget and have frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling. The selected candidate will be required to complete CAM training at the first opportune time. Responsible for briefing and participating in technical meetings across all disciplines.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 9 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 7 years of relevant experience

    + Experience in systems architecture, infrastructure, or subsystem design activities

    + Must have an active in-scope DoD Secret clearance

    + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Current approved PAR to applicable program

    + Experience in Cost/Schedule Integration, EVMS and CAM responsibilities.

    + Experience in proposal development.

    + Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation.

    + Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.

    + Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.

    + Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering.

     

    Salary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
