Are you ready to step into a pivotal role that contributes to the financial success of a growing organizations? Robert Half is seeking an Assistant Controller to support our client’s accounting operations and lead key financial initiatives. This position combines leadership responsibilities, technical expertise, and collaboration to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and streamlined processes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Monthly Close and Reporting: Manage and oversee critical aspects of the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting (source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025.pdf).
+ Reconciliation and Analysis: Prepare account reconciliations and conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement (source: thousands of job postings and Robert Half placements).
+ Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as GAAP principles, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), or other applicable standards.
+ Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing, managing, and analyzing budgets and forecasts to align with corporate strategy and financial goals.
+ System Optimization: Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and other financial tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
+ Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff or specialists while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

+ Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake financial projects aimed at driving efficiencies, improving cash flow, and supporting overarching business objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
+ At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within public accounting or corporate environments.
+ Advanced knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP), financial reporting, and internal controls.
+ Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities seamlessly in a dynamic work environment.
