As the Lead Studio Coordinator, based in Torrance, CA, you'll play a vital role in managing our 5,000 square foot production studio sound stage and supporting video production operations. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with organizational skills to ensure smooth production workflows and excellent client service. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, as overtime may be necessary to support production schedules and live events.

About Us
We are supporting an in-house corporate video production and post-production department delivering high-quality video content, live events, and creative solutions. We believe that strong communication is the foundation of success, and our goal is to help our internal clients communicate with engaging content.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Studio Management & Production Support:
• Manage studio scheduling and resource allocation using our production management system
• Serve as the primary studio representative and oversee the studio’s sound stage
• Coordinate and oversee studio preparation, including equipment setup, lighting rigging, vendor support, internal support, and space organization
• Serve as primary audio technician and gaffer (G&E) during video productions, managing audio and lighting setup and operation
• Wear different hats during video production shoots, including operating sound, camera, and audio-visual equipment
• Support live event productions and vendor shoots in the studio, ensuring all technical and logistical needs are met
• Ensure the implementation safety protocols and procedures
• Maintain and organize production equipment inventory
Technical Operations:
• Set up and operate lighting equipment for various production scenarios
• Assist with audio setup and audio recording work as needed
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Support the maintenance and organization of production equipment
• Collaborate with the technical team on studio infrastructure and workflow improvements
Client Relations & Project Coordination:
• Serve as primary point of contact for studio rentals and live events
• Conduct pre-production consultations for studio-based projects
• Create quotes for standard production projects
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for production support
• Manage talent coordination for internal productions and voice-over sessions
Administrative Duties:
• Track billable hours and maintain accurate project records
• Manage supply inventory and ordering
• Assist with processing quarterly statements and invoices for studio services
• Review projects for proper closure and documentation
• Strong understanding of video production, sound stage management, and grip & electric
• Strong knowledge of DMX lighting software such as Luminair, Blackout, Stellar, and Sidus Link
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Proficient in using planning and task management apps like Asana
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• Experience with studio production and live events
• Background in lighting cars, products, and people
• Familiarity with production scheduling software and workflows
• Previous experience in a similar production facility
• Basic knowledge of audio production and equipment
• Bachler’s degree in Video Production, Film and Television, or related field, or equivalent work experience

• Capable of standing for extended periods
• Ability to work at heights (lighting grid)
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel to support productions
Additional Information:
This position occasionally requires overtime to support production needs, live events, and tight project deadlines. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as some projects may require early morning, evening, or weekend hours.
