Job Title: 1st Shift - Quality Weld Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Weld Inspector is responsible for in-process inspection of welded components, including process setup validation and online/offline inspection. This role involves assessing products to ensure they meet engineering drawing specifications and inputting results into the appropriate database.
Responsibilities
+ Adhere to the Cardinal Rules of Safety.
+ Perform inspections on products including both manufactured and purchased components.
+ Assist in First Article Inspection (weld qualification) as needed.
+ Collect and record data from Programmable Measuring Systems.
+ Conduct analytical testing within the Quality Inspection Area.
+ Assist with administrative duties within the Quality Inspection Area.
+ Support the Weld Process Quality Lead in tracking performance results.
+ Interpret weld requirements in engineering drawings, quality inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in welding, inspection, and quality assurance.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding inspection requirements.
+ Five years of experience in reading weld blueprints and welding.
+ Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
+ Experience in quality control and weld inspection.
+ Competency in using a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least one year of experience in reading a tape measure.

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift from 5:30am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential voluntary overtime on Fridays. The facility is very large and not climate-controlled, resulting in cooler temperatures in winter and hotter ones in summer. The environment is loud, so earplugs are required. The dress code includes jeans, work-appropriate t-shirts, and steel-toe shoes. It is imperative to wear steel toes, as contractors will be sent home if they arrive without them.

This is a Permanent position based out of STOUGHTON, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
- Bringing in a lot of automation into the plant and upgrading equipment
- Opportunity to get into Robotic welding, automation, welding if wanted
- Opportunity to inspect a lot of welds!
- $2 premium for 2nd shift
- $5 for weekend day and $8 for weekend nights
- A lot of room for advancement
- 4-10s and OT on Friday. Saturdays are voluntary
- Weekly pay every Friday
