    Job Description:

    + Perform complex welding assignments independently

    + Perform practical application of shop mathematics to do layouts and plan work

    + Setup and operate oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter for all types of tasks

    + Perform checks for quality during fabrication by visual inspections, using true square or center gauging, measuring, and comparing print specifications, documented tolerances ,or verbal instructions

    + Drive and operate trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts after receiving training and when authorized

    + Run multi-conductor wire

    + Bend and fit conduit and encoders - will actually run all of the wiring for the product

    Skills Needed:

    + MIG welding

    + Fabrication - at least 3+ years of experience within this field

    + Operating welding equipment

    + Shop mathematics

    + Oxyacetylene torch operation

    + Plasma cutting

    + Visual inspection for quality

    + Operating power and hand tools

    + Driving trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts

    Work Site and Environment:

    + This is a fully on-site position in AMES, Iowa

    + Working with around 20 others within the shop

    + Monday-Friday, 7:00-4:00 pm

    + Overtime required!

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
