    Description

    We are seeking a motivated Junior Optical Engineer to contribute to the development and support of our optical metrology, imaging, and automation systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply fundamental knowledge of optical design, analysis, and testing in a professional setting.

     

    The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of optical principles and be eager to apply their skills to real-world projects. Familiarity with optical measurement equipment such as lens systems, colorimeters, spectrometers, and MTF measurement systems is highly beneficial. Some tasks will require manual dexterity when working with these systems. Experience with optical design tools like Zemax, Code V, or TracePro is also advantageous but not required. You will collaborate with senior engineers on projects involving optical components, imaging systems, and opto-mechanical systems.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assist in optical design, device simulation, and testing of various optical systems.

     

    Support the development, testing, calibration, and optimization of optical components and systems, including imaging and metrology systems.

     

    Gain experience in optical design/analysis software tools such as Zemax, Code V, or TracePro.

     

    Operate and maintain scientific equipment, including lens systems, colorimeters, spectrometers, and MTF measurement systems, requiring manual dexterity.

     

    Participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization of optical systems.

     

    Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.

    Experience and Education Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, or a related Engineering field.

     

    Strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and optical systems.

     

    Familiarity with scientific equipment such as lens systems, colorimeters, spectrometers, and MTF measurement systems preferred.

     

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

     

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
