    Job Title: Reach Truck Operator

    PAY: $18/HR

    QUALIFICATION: MUST KNOW HOW TO OPERATE REACH TRUCK

    Job Description

    The Case Picker and Reach Truck Operator is responsible for accurately picking and staging cases for shipment using a reach truck and other material handling equipment. This role ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety and inventory integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Accurately pick cases based on order sheets or RF scanners.

    + Safely operate a reach truck, maneuvering in narrow aisles and high racks.

    + Ensure correct product counts and minimize shrinkage to maintain inventory accuracy.

    + Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.

    + Navigate digital systems for tracking and updating inventory.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reach truck operation.

    + Experience in case picking and use of RF scanners.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.

    + Certification in forklift/reach truck operation.

    + Experience in cold storage or high-volume distribution centers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

    + Experience with electric and manual pallet jacks.

    + Time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

    + Attention to detail for accurate order picking and labeling.

    + Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurements.

    + Clear communication skills with team members and supervisors.

    + Problem-solving abilities for equipment issues or order discrepancies.

    + Adaptability to changing environments and shift changes.

    + OSHA Forklift Certification preferred.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Experience in logistics or distribution centers.

    + Knowledge of Lean or 5S principles.

    + Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish/English, are valuable.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a warehouse setting which may include cold storage or ambient temperature zones. It is fast-paced and physically demanding with a team-oriented culture and a safety-first mindset. The work is shift-based, requiring day, night, or weekend availability.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, New Jersey.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
