Job Title: 2nd Shift Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Assembler to join our fast-paced team. The position involves working on the assembly of metal products, where you will start in gasketing before moving on to unit building. This role requires the ability to work with hand and power tools, as well as the operation of overhead cranes for building heat exchangers.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble sub-components and finished products, requiring basic product and process knowledge.
+ Gasket sheet metal plates using a tape gun and collaborate with a partner to ensure quality.
+ Aim to gasket up to 400 plates per shift in a fast-paced environment.
+ Operate hand and power tools, as well as an overhead crane, to build heat exchangers.
+ Review assembly diagrams to determine necessary parts and their correct placement.
+ Lift, climb, and stand for extended periods while assembling products.
+ Work collaboratively with a team member to fulfill daily product orders.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.
+ Familiarity with operating overhead cranes.
+ Physical ability to lift 60 lbs+ and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required upon permanent conversion (Company offers a GED program).
+ Ability to regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods.
+ Capability to independently lift 40 lbs+.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean, organized, and large manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections based on materials and production. The 2nd shift operates from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with the possibility of working until 12:00 AM. This role involves physical activity such as lifting, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
