    As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, maintaining availability during work hours, and demonstrating a flexible approach to acquiring new skills and assignments. You will be responsible for quickly responding to special requests from staff, peers, or patient care providers. Your role includes participating in bedside rounds and patient care-planning meetings, where you will communicate nutrition problems, concerns, and recommended interventions to the healthcare team.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct patient and care provider nutrition education on specialized nutrition programs, ensuring family members or support systems are included for optimal understanding and compliance.

    + Provide reference education materials and discharge plans to case managers and home care agencies.

    + Document education and interventions completed in the medical record.

    + Complete nutritional assessments and reassessments, responding to referrals and consults from physicians and healthcare team members.

    + Review and evaluate medical records, interview patients and care providers, identify nutrition-related problems, and determine appropriate interventions.

    + Communicate malnutrition diagnoses and other concerns with physicians and healthcare team members.

    + Ensure all required electronic/paper documentation is complete and accurately filed.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of pediatric experience.

    + Experience working in a Level 3 or Level 4 acute setting.

    + Proficiency in TPN Calculations and electrolyte calculations.

    + Knowledge of different calculation references and feeding protocols.

    + Comfortable with different formularies and formulas.

    + Experience handling complex diagnoses and managing NICU cases.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working at a larger hospital and NICU, managing up to 10 patients per day.

    + Familiarity with the CCS Paneling process.

    Work Environment

    The position focuses on the NICU care area, with a work schedule from 8 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will be managing 8-9 patient cases in a children's hospital setting, with the department handling 20-25 cases per week. Currently, the role requires on-site presence but may evolve into a hybrid role. The start time is flexible, ranging from 7 AM to 10 AM, allowing for an 8-hour shift. You will be assigned to one of five teams.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
