    This is not a full-time position. The department clerk position works Monday-Friday (variable days), no weekends. Scheduled as needed.

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    1. Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of high School.

    2. Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

    3. Clerical ability necessary to complete and maintain department records, prepare reports, and tabulate data. Clerical skills include but are not limited to: keyboarding with accuracy at a minimum of 40 words per minute, filing, write/print legibly, and computer/printer operation skills. Must be able to accurately enter information into the MediTech order/entry module for Radiology orders and MediTech admitting/registration module.

    4. Interpersonal skills necessary to frequently interact in a courteous manner with patients, family members, visitors, Hospital employees, and physicians.

    5. Must be capable of organizing workforce and coordinating jobs in order to expedite patient procedures. Must be able to tactfully and skillfully communicate with other associates in coordinating work.
