What the Position Involves

As a Mammography Technologist at Munson Healthcare, you will work under the general supervision of a Radiologist to perform both routine and complex mammographic procedures. Your responsibilities will include patient positioning, operation of imaging equipment, and producing high-quality radiographs for interpretation. You will maintain proper documentation, adhere to safety standards, assist in specialized procedures such as breast biopsies and wire localizations, and help ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness. This role requires a detail-oriented, compassionate technologist with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

What’s Required

+ ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and good standing with continuing education requirements

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with annual renewal

+ Eligibility for post-primary ARRT certification in Mammography (certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

We’re Looking For

+ Strong technical skills in mammographic imaging and sterile techniques

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with patients under physical or emotional stress

+ The ability to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail

+ A professional demeanor and willingness to rotate shifts or departments as needed

+ Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and high standards in all aspects of patient care and imaging procedures
