UPMC Northwest is hiring a Full-Time Food Service Liaison to support our mission of delivering exceptional patient care. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by helping manage dietary needs and collaborating with various hospital departments.

    Position Details:

    + Schedule: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

    + Rotation: Holidays and weekends required

    + Location: UPMC Northwest

In this role, you’ll process and maintain patient diet orders using automated diet office software and communicate with patients and nursing staff using customer-friendly phone skills to resolve any food service-related concerns.

    Responsibilities:

    + Communicate patient concerns or issues to supervisor or clinical staff in a timely fashion.

    + Process all phone calls using appropriate telephone skills and follow up on issues in a timely manner to resolution.

    + Process all nutrition care orders according to established procedures in an accurate and timely fashion.

    + Troubleshoot interface issues with diet orders and resolves.

    + Report software and printer problems to appropriate IS individual or group in a timely fashion.

    + Prepare tray tickets for food assembly according to workflow procedures in the operation.

    + Assist patients with menu planning in accordance with diet order in a helpful, friendly manner.

    + Maintain record-keeping and prepare reports as assigned.

    Required:

    + Work permit required if under 18 years old.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Act 34
