• Staff Accountant

    Robert Half Accountemps (City Of Industry, CA)


    Description

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, expenses, accruals, and other general ledger activities

    + Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

    + Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules and financial statements

    + Maintain and update fixed asset and depreciation schedules

    + Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare elimination entries

    + Assist in accounts payable and receivable functions as needed

    + Ensure proper documentation and compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

    + Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation

    + Help identify areas for process improvement and assist with implementation

    + Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    + 2–4 years of accounting experience (public or corporate accounting)

    + Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles

    + Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)

    + Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
