**VCA Animal Specialty Group, Los Angeles** is looking looking for an exceptional Technician Assistant that can help the Neurologists, resident, interns, and RVTs/VAs with various tasks to help maintain the busy flow of the Neurology department.

General duties and responsibilities include:

Restraining for exams, IVC placement, blood and urine collection, radiographs, etc.

Processing labs (in-house and outside)

Working in the scrub room to clean and prepare the operating rooms for surgical procedures as well as clean, sterilize surgical packs and instruments, and maintain medical supplies

Cleaning and disinfecting the procedure rooms

Stocking medical supplies (in the ORs and procedure room)

Communicating with clients to collect medical histories and relay the information to the doctors

Assisting RVTs/VAs in the operating rooms, procedure room, MRI, and CT

**Job Type:** On-site, Full-time, 10 hours, 4 days/week

**Salary:** $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

**Available shifts:** 830am-7pm

Applicants should have or be able to do the following:

+ **At least** **1 year experience working in a veterinary hospital setting.**

+ Work Saturday or Sunday.

+ Communicate respectfully and compassionately with clients and associates.

+ Receive and carryout instructions accurately and efficiently with minimal instruction.

+ Be reliable and maintain excellent attendance.

+ Multi-tasking in a very busy environment.

+ Able to receive feedback in a polite and respectful manner.

+ Outstanding organizational and time management skills, including remaining busy during downtime.
