    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving and distributing materials, maintaining inventory, and assisting with order assembly. This position requires attention to detail, a good attitude, and a commitment to safety. If you are experienced with forklifts and have strong organizational skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

     

    Pay: $20-$23

    Responsibilities

    + Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

    + Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.

    + Place materials and goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

    + Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or the assembly line.

    + Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing stations or the shipping department.

    + Mark materials with identifying information.

    + Open bales, crates, and other containers.

    + Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

    + Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

    + Arrange stock parts in a specified sequence for assembly by other workers.

    + Use a computer to enter records.

    + Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

    + Drive vehicles to transport stored items or to pick up items.

    + Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.

    + Prepare parcels for mailing.

    + Maintain inventory records.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Reach and sit-down forklift experience, especially in narrow aisles.

    + Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing all day.

    + Attention to detail and safety-oriented approach.

    + Good attitude and attendance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Inventory management experience.

    + Experience with picking, packing, and general warehouse labor.

    + Proficiency in using RF scanners and pallet jacks.

    + Steel-toed boots required.

    + Comfortable joining a union once direct.

    Work Environment

     

    Our work environment is bustling with energy as we supply and distribute snack-type food to large companies in the area. We cater to vending machines and provide break room snacks, offering employees the convenience of scanning and paying for available food. The schedule is from Sunday to Thursday with an 11 am start time, usually encompassing 10-hour days. Expect a busy week, potentially working up to 65 hours. Please be prepared to embrace this dynamic and fast-paced setting.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
