    Job Summary:

    This leader of leader's role is responsible for defining and implementing new diesel, natural gas and alternative fuel powered generator set product programs. The role requires previous leadership experience, Energy and Transportation industry and customer application knowledge as well as strong analytical skills.

     

    The primary function of the role is the link between the MWM and Cat brand sales and business development organizations and the product engineering teams. The leader will provide strategic direction and guidance to Product Councils/Voice of Customer sessions with internal and external team members, provide leadership to a team of industry-based product definition consultants as well as factory based New Product Introduction team members. The position is responsible for the Research and Development budget and budget adherence for the Large Electric Power team.

    What you will do:

    • Develop and mentor team members.

    • Understand industry and competitive landscape, products, and competitive positioning. This includes attendance at industry-based events and conferences.

    • Provide customer value drivers for new products and develop go -to-market strategy in conjunction with the marketing team.

    • Manage the creation of detailed product functional specifications for new product introductions

    • Establish pricing strategy for new product introductions.

    • Identify opportunities for new products and develop detailed business cases for new product development.

    What you will have:

    Additional Information:

    + This position is located in Lafayette, IN.

    + Domestic and international travel up to 40% is required.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $169,320.00 - $253,920.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
