Position Summary:
The Admissions Analyst is responsible for the review and evaluation of applications of admission to an institution of higher education.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Process admissions documentation through various sources (fax, e-mail, mail)
+ Review documentation, determine eligibility for admission into program, determine validity of documentation (e.g. teaching licenses etc to align with departmental requirements). Perform GPA calculations on students that have multiple transcripts to establish overall GPA.
+ Process admissions decisions based on established criteria.
+ Assist with student inquiries – phone, e-mail, live chat
+ Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of statewide information system computer operations
Knowledge of designated data system functions
Knowledge of record management systems and retention policies and procedures
Knowledge of federal laws and regulations and state directives, policies, and procedures surrounding privacy and record maintenance
Ability to analyze, evaluate, and recommend records systems flow
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This position has been identified as a telecommuting position. The duties are performed during standard work hours of 8am-5pm at a predefined and approved work location. Individuals filling this role must have dedicated work space that provides privacy and security related to the work being performed. Additionally, individuals must have secure internet access with appropriate upload/download capabilities to perform the duties associated with the position. Individuals in this position will be required to review and acknowledge the Telecommuting Guidelines and Telecommuting Agreement for A-State.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
Three (3) years of experience in records management, administrative support, or a related field
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
