    General Summary

    The PPAP Coordinator is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and submission requirements. This includes collaborating with engineering, quality, and suppliers to ensure that all parts meet design specifications and quality standards prior to full-scale production.

    Primary Responsibilities PPAP Documentation

    + Complete and maintain all PPAP documentation (FMEA, control plans, flow charts, etc.)

    + Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and AIAG standards

    + Maintain and update customer quality manuals and PPAP paperwork

    + Train employees on proper PPAP documentation procedures

    Customer Coordination

    + Communicate with customers and sales to obtain and clarify PPAP requirements

    + Follow up with customers to ensure PPAP approvals are obtained

    + Coordinate and prioritize PPAP orders with sales

    Scheduling and Tracking

    + Update the Product Progress Report weekly

    + Coordinate with Production Control to track PPAP status

    + Resolve issues related to completion dates

    Quality Assurance

    + Maintain SPC documents and Gage R&R studies

    + Verify SPC data meets Cpk requirements; assist with corrective actions as needed

    + Coordinate PPAP activities for new launches, engineering changes, and re-validations

    Recordkeeping and Compliance

    + Maintain organized records for audit and compliance

    + Support continuous improvement of product quality and documentation processes

    Teamwork and Safety

    + Participate in team meetings and comply with safety/housekeeping standards

    + Assist co-workers and perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

    + Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment

    + Familiarity with IATF16949 quality systems and AIAG PPAP standards

    + Basic PC skills (Google Workspace)

    + Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

    + Blueprint reading

    + Fastener product knowledge is a plus

    Environmental Health & Safety Requirements

    + Follow all safety rules and wear appropriate PPE

    + Attend EH&S training sessions

    + Report all injuries, spills, and hazards immediately

    + Maintain clean workspaces

    + Properly dispose of waste
