Job Description

A university client is looking for a back end integration developer to support several integrations between a homegrown accounting application and two financial SaaS platforms. In this role, you will work hand in hand with the solution architect to gather and document technical requirements and specifications from the business, and then own the implementation process. The primary tools that will be used in this project include Nifi, Airflow and Kafka. In addition, API manager and any back end programming language (Python, Java, .NET) can be used to develop the back end APIs. We are looking for an individual who can recommend and implement solutions for this project, with the ability to think independently and work self-sufficiently. Strong SQL and ETL skills are also required, and experience supporting financial applications, specifically accounting, is a plus.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in backend development using Python, .NET or Java

Proven experience in integrations and back end API development using tools like API Manager

1+ years of experience using Nifi for heavy load integrations

1+ years of experience using Airflow for scheduling and ETL

Strong skills in SQL development, ETL and working in a data heavy environment

2+ years of experience using Kafka for real time data streaming

Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements from business stakeholders

Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to own the solution implementation process Scripting skills in Groovy or Python

Previous experience with financial / accounting applications

Experience with student information systems, financial aid platforms, and Student Lifecycle Management (SAP product null
