    AWS Applied AI Solutions Finance team is seeking a highly effective Finance Manager to join our team. Are you interested in learning about agentic artificial intelligence and what it takes to build applied AI solutions?     This role will partner with AWS Applied AI Solutions Team whose mission is to build the world’s best agentic AI business applications. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative and fastest growing businesses at Amazon.

     

    A successful candidate will love to learn and be curious and dive deep to understand and identify business trends, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to work autonomously with a proven work ethic and track record of delivering results.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Build and maintain in depth knowledge across key business areas by staying current on initiatives, goals, as well as business challenges and opportunities

    • Support planning cycles and regular business and financial mechanisms

    • Partner with the business to design and implement key performance indicators and reporting solutions to drive insights and enable quicker and more effective decision making to achieve critical goals

    • Lead complex projects to drive revenue growth through understanding key controllable inputs

    • Identify, quantify, and drive operational and cost saving initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and quality of data across solutions

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

    - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

     

    - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

     

    - MBA, or CPA

     

    - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

     

    - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

     

    - Knowledge of SQL/ETL

     

    - 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

     

    - 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

     

    - 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

     

    - 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
