Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will handle key accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, as well as support reconciliation and auditing processes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Reconcile discrepancies between financial records and bank statements to maintain accurate account balances.
• Assist in auditing processes by reviewing and verifying financial data for compliance and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, including missing funds or misrecorded transactions.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet accounts to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to manage financial operations efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to address outstanding invoices and payments.
• Ensure proper financial controls are in place and adhered to during all accounting activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes with thorough reconciliations and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation and auditing processes.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems, such as ERP platforms and Concur.
• Familiarity with balance sheet account preparation and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Experience with ADP financial services is a plus.
