Description

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Medical Biller to join a thriving specialty medicine practice in Vista, CA. This role emphasizes accuracy in billing processes, insurance communication, and reimbursement tracking for a high-volume practice. Key Responsibilities:

+ Accurately review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier codes for services rendered.

+ Submit claims electronically and manually to insurance providers, ensuring accuracy to prevent rejections.

+ Perform account follow-ups on insurance claims and patient balances, including reconciliation of payments and adjustments.

+ Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and insurance providers to resolve claim discrepancies.

+ Track and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursements.

+ Perform monthly reconciliation and assist with revenue projections for stakeholders.

+ Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA and billing guidelines for specialty medicine.

Requirements

+ 1–3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in specialty practices (dermatology, orthopedics, cardiology, etc.).

+ Certification in Medical Billing and Coding highly preferred.

+ Strong expertise in EMR systems, ideally NextGen or similar software.

+ Familiarity with private insurance and government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.

+ Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive billing issues.

+ Ability to thrive in a detailed and deadline-driven environment.
