Pay Range:
$65,300.00 - $107,300.00
Summary:
Bio-Techne & Cliniqa are looking for a Production Supervisor to plan, direct, and supervise the activities of the Production Department including scheduling, inventory, staff development, and adherence to company policies and quality standards to ensure the timely liquid/powder filling, labeling, kitting functions of BTSM products for San Marcos based operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Support the commercialization/design transfer of new IVD products from R&D and external partners/customers and facilitate revisions of SOP’s and work instructions.
+ Work cross-functionally with Project Management, Planning, Facilities, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Finance, and Senior Leadership to meet business objectives.
+ Maintain compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System; assist in NCMR investigations.
+ Oversee batch record review and maintain accurate records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs.
+ Identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve efficiency and productivity by identifying problem areas, establishing production pace and establishing action plans for improvement.
+ Track and report applicable metrics and report this information to staff and management.
+ Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials, consumables and finished products are properly staged and stored, and identify opportunities to improve inventory management.
+ Establish and maintain a safe, secure, controlled, and efficient working environment.
+ Lead by example.
+ Improve departmental performance and employee satisfaction/value by continuously evaluating and advancing employee training plans.
+ Lead daily standups, oversee production schedules, employee time/absence, disciplinary action and ensure that production targets are met on time.
+ Work with Manager to set objectives/goals for departmental personnel; provide necessary training and guidance to reach objectives.
+ Work with Manager to build an effective team. Be proactive by holding regular 1:1 and team meetings to ensure and encourage inter-departmental communication.
+ Other duties as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ Thorough knowledge of GMP-FDA regulations, ISO 13485, cGMP, GLP, & SOX.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Competency in material requirements, capacity planning, budgeting, problem solving and conflict management.
+ Knowledge of leadership techniques.
+ Promote teamwork and communication in own department and across other departments.
+ Must have strong English communication skills to understand verbal and written instructions.
+ Ability to analyze trends and statistical data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations.
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work well as part of a team.
+ Must have strong knowledge of computers and software programs that support production planning and processes (Smartsheets and Excel experience preferred).
+ Strong mathematical ability.
+ Exceptional orientation to detail and accuracy.
+ Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Minimum Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor of Science preferred and/or 3-6 years of Manufacturing / Production experience.
+ Experience in Medical Diagnostic production is strongly preferred.
+ Previous leadership experience is also strongly preferred
