_ABOUT THE ROLE_

_Connect with us and design the world's most advanced avionics within the Electronic Solutions Platform Organization where we have an immediate need for a top-performing_ **_Lead Hardware Engineer_** _to join our elite team that will innovate and create the hardware electronics that Aerospace runs on. We are seeking someone who brings the right experience leading avionics-based product designs within the Anthem / Thunderbolt Team. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications. This position is in Phoenix Deer Valley, Arizona._

_RESPONSIBILITIES_

1. _Supports Product / Module development assignments, including supporting system trades, creating requirements, completing design, analysis, and testing in an engineering laboratory setting._

2. _Collaborates with a global, multi-disciplinary team of systems, software, programable logic, and mechanical engineers._

3. _Partners to reach effective solutions to medium to low complexity electrical engineering problems._

4. _Assist in product and process certification for customer acceptance_

5. _Guide engineers, technicians, and associates to ensure project and product compliance_

6. _Suggest enhancements to advance projects_

7. _Support transition of products into production_

8. _Additional responsibilities may include qualification and verification testing of hardware_

_U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS_

_Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status._

_MUST HAVE_

+ _Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics._

+ _Minimum of 8 years of hardware engineering experience_

_WE VALUE_

+ _Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Science Engineering._

+ _Experience with modern processing technologies and architectures including micro-processors, FPGAs, memories, and high-speed IO is a plus._

+ _Product level analog / linear circuits including signal conditioning is a plus._

+ _Demonstrated experience performing product level verification and qualification._

+ _Demonstrated experience designing, simulating, analyzing, and verifying design performance to requirements._

+ _Proficiency with Mentor Graphics X-petition Enterprise Design Flow (or related tool set), Mathcad, MS Excel, and LT-Spice._

+ _Test Engineering experience including requirements-based testing._

+ _Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced hardware engineering methods and tools_

+ _Mentor and coach junior level engineers._

+ _Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions_

+ _​_ _Knowledge of DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware and RTCA DO-160 Qualification Guidelines is a plus._
