Now Hiring: 2nd shift Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our team and assist with a Packing Project. This role involves performing various utility tasks around the plant to ensure smooth operations.

Position is 2nd Shift 2:00PM-10:30/11PM Monday through Friday with some OT as needed/required

Responsibilities

+ Assist with the Packing Project to support plant operations

+ Handle, load, and unload materials

+ Operate a forklift to move and stage materials and pallets

+ Perform general production tasks including assembly and packaging

+ Read and interpret tape measures accurately

+ Perform manual and physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions

+ Work as part of a team on an assembly line process

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a Material Handler, Loader, Unloader, or General Production Worker

+ Ability to perform physical labor and work outside

+ Proficient in reading tape measures

+ Reliable transportation

+ Forklift operation experience

+ General labor and production skills

+ Ability to work effectively in a team setting

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Packaging and assembly line experience

+ Strong work ethic and reliability

Work Environment

The work environment includes music playing on speakers throughout the day. The facility is not climate-controlled and involves working outdoors frequently. The job is very physical and requires working in various production areas within a smaller manufacturing company. Despite the outdoor warehouse setting, fans and misters are available in the summer to provide comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
