Job Title: Laser setup operator (2nd shift)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Set Up Operator to join our team. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting equipment, performing maintenance, and conducting inspections to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

+ Report to work on time and maintain excellent attendance.

+ Keep the work area clean and safe.

+ Establish proper stop location and adjust laser beam focal point.

+ Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.

+ Perform prescribed maintenance as required.

+ Conduct all dimensional inspections.

+ Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.

+ May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.

+ Adhere to safety rules at all times.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with laser, CNC laser, and laser operation.

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and sheet metal fabrication.

+ Skilled in using calipers and performing inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Strong work ethic and commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

+ Previous experience is a plus but not required; we will train the right person.

+ Basic dimensional measuring skills and ability to quickly learn precision measurement tools.

+ Competent at basic shop math and computer reading capability.

+ Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate with other departments.

+ Detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.

+ Must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
