In this rewarding role, you’ll provide essential care to clients in the comfort of their homes, helping them maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Travel to clients’ homes using your own vehicle to deliver personal care services.
+ Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing.
+ Provide specialized care and emotional support to terminally ill clients and their families.
+ Support mobility and physical activity, including ambulation and range-of-motion exercises.
+ Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry to ensure a safe, clean environment.
+ Assist with non-sterile dressing changes and catheter care as directed by clinical staff.
+ Deliver and retrieve medical supplies and equipment as needed.
+ Offer post-mortem care and guidance to families when appropriate.
+ Educate family members or caregivers on care techniques when necessary.
+ Maintain clear communication with supervising staff regarding changes in client condition.
+ Follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and privacy regulations.
+ Participate in ongoing training and compliance activities.
Schedule & Coverage:
+ No assigned regions—staff are scheduled island-wide based on client needs and operational priorities.
+ Flexible scheduling based on client availability and care requirements.
Qualifications:
+ Current certification as a Nurse Aide or equivalent in the state of Hawaiʻi.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
+ Experience in home care or hospice preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47736.00 - $53040.00/yr.
