Job Title: Welder
Job Description
The welder is responsible for studying blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and setup requirements. You will measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials or workpieces, assemble units to blueprint specifications, and tack pieces together for stabilization. Additionally, weld pieces to ensure the unit holds liquid without leaks, pre-inspect units to meet customer and company expectations, complete required paperwork and unit labeling, ensure inspection by Quality Control, and document all time spent on the unit via the E2 time ticket process.
Responsibilities
+ Study blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
+ Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on material or workpieces.
+ Assemble units to blueprint specifications.
+ Tack pieces together for stabilization as dictated on blueprints.
+ Weld pieces to ensure the unit holds liquid without leaks or functions properly.
+ Pre-inspect units to ensure customer and company expectations are met.
+ Complete required paperwork and unit labeling.
+ Ensure units are inspected by Quality Control.
+ Assemble and return paperwork to the proper location.
+ Document all time spent on the unit via the E2 time ticket process.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in welding, including MIG welding.
+ Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
+ Experience in grinding and fabrication.
+ At least 1 year of experience as a welder.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to bend, twist, and stand throughout the duration of the shift.

Work Environment
The work environment has a moderate to high noise level, fluctuating temperatures with the seasons, and exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Employees are exposed to moving parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairmont, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
