    Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

    Purpose and Objective:

    SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer environments in Cloud of respective product lines and to ensure the delivery according to defined Service Level Agreements.

    Expectations and Tasks:

    Define automation framework and drive automation and standardization. Manage the storage environment used for several external and internal cloud solutions, as part of the Cloud storage operations and engineering team. Ensure smooth operations and maximize uptime and performance of Cloud software. Deliver SAP Cloud Applications as a Service from SAP managed datacenters. Independent assurance of effective system operations along the software lifecycle (from planning to implementation). Collaborate with engineering and product management as well as other service groups to ensure usage information (such as incidents or problems) is considered in new products/releases. Define operations model/operational processes and procedures. Define the product delivery roadmap to bring it into production. Ensure efficient delivery of system landscape support core tasks in the assigned functional areas of responsibility. Ensure excellent quality and maintain high standards in all processes listed in the relevant process map. Understand and improve current effort and cost structure of system/tenant operations (TCO). Support field, account executives, and consultants on stakeholder management and delivery. Support cloud delivery teams to perform and drive root cause analysis to completion. Drive continuous improvement of the Ops services in terms of process design, tool advancement, operational efficiency, TCO, quality of customer support, and customer satisfaction.

    Education and Occupational Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Employer will accept a four or three year bachelor’s degree. Employer will also accept a combination of education and experience as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

    Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

    Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:

    Operating Systems including Windows, RedHat, SUSE Linux, or Mac OS;

     

    Storage Hardware, including Netapp Filers, Pure Storage, and EMC;

     

    Storage Operating Systems, including Data Ontap, OneFS, Geosynchrony, VNX Flare, and XIOS;

     

    NAS, SAN, and S3 protocols;

     

    Scripting including Unix Shell, Powershell, and Python;

     

    Virtualization including VMWare (GSX), Oracle VM, and XEN;

     

    Cloud and object storage, including Cloud Volume Ontap, Services, and StorageGRID;

     

    AWS and Azure; and

     

    Automation including NetApp WFA, RedHat Ansible, and AWX.

    **Compensation Range Transparency:** The annual base salary range for this position is $131,472 - $223,344. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $149,400 - $253,800. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
