UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the CCP Presque Isle office. CCP Presque Isle is a 7-provider practice. Ideal candidates will thrive in a high energy, fast paced pediatric clinical environment, and enjoy working closely with patients and providers.

Responsibilities:

+ **Patient Care:** Perform EKGs, labs, and assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information and relay instructions.

+ **Clinic Operations:** Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control.

+ **Administrative Tasks:** Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties.

+ **Compliance:** Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality.

+ **Support:** Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education.

+ **Medication Administration:** Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred.

+ Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
