Job Summary:
The Junior CG Engineer will support and maintain our CG pipeline operations. This is an ideal role for a Python enthusiast who wants to grow their skills in production engineering, 3D data workflows, and scalable tool development. You’ll work directly with assets, scripts, and tools that power our 3D production process, helping ensure data integrity, project stability, and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & Asset Processing
+ Sanitize and validate incoming asset data using Python, focusing on JSON, dictionaries, and pandas workflows.
+ Execute and monitor data prep processes within the existing production pipeline.
+ Maintain consistency across assets by enforcing naming conventions and metadata standards.
Debugging & Optimization
+ Identify, log, and troubleshoot issues in data processing scripts and cleanup routines.
+ Work closely with senior engineers to propose and implement script improvements and fixes.
Tool Development
+ Develop lightweight Python tools for data processing, automation, or utility scripting.
+ Contribute to internal tools for use in Maya, Unreal Engine, or cross-platform production workflows.
Production & Project Support
+ Provide technical assistance to Unreal Engine project teams, particularly around data organization.
+ Support version control workflows via Perforce.
+ Document tools, workflows, and pipeline components for team reference.
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in Python, with a focus on scripting and automation.
+ Experience working with structured data (e.g., JSON, dictionaries, pandas).
+ Familiarity with asset preparation processes: naming conventions, cleanup, and metadata validation.
+ Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
+ Ability to collaborate within a team and adapt to shifting project priorities.
Preferred Skills:
+ Exposure to Unreal Engine workflows (Blueprints, asset structure, or basic C++).
+ Basic knowledge of version control using Perforce.
+ Interest in pipeline development for Maya or other DCC software.
+ Passion for digital content creation and scalable production systems.

Compensation Range: $72,390.00 - $104,720.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
