• Abrader Operator - 1st shift

    EMS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Abrader Operator in our Hamburg, PA facility.   Position Summary:

     

    Process material through the abrader by following the process defined by the manufacture and instructed through training and work instructions.

    Responsibilities:

    + Identify and correct areas of deficiency prior to the start up of the abrader, and while running.

    + Monitor belts for wear, and change as needed.

    + Verify material characteristics prior to running material.

    + Assure that thickness tolerance and surface quality of the material meets the specified requirements.

    + Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area

    + Load and unload large coils of material.

    + Work independently while following production schedules to prepare coils for the bonding operation.

    + Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems such as Oracle, Kronos, etc.

    + May require use of fork truck and overhead crane and hoist systems.

    + Wear all required PPE at all times.

    + Complete setups, routine maintenance, and other equipment related operations.

    + May be required to pack material

    + Other duties as required.
