    This is a great opportunity to drive the delivery of a key enterprise objectives in building Ford’s flagship products – bring your experience to have significant business impact. In this role you will be working with a unique blend of engineers, data scientists, DevOps, automation, controls and manufacturing business personnel - ideating, building and scaling Billion-Dollar ideas for the manufacturing of iconic Ford products. This position is highly cross-functional that requires an experienced Product Manager with close work with development teams. This is a rare opportunity to put your signature on how Ford manufactures vehicles.

     

    What you'll do...

     

    + Management of a product or product family at all stages of the product lifecycle

    + Work closely with Business Partners and Product Owners to understand their product vision and break that vision down into an actionable backlog of user stories for the development team.

    + Manage the Rally/JIRA, conduct Agile ceremonies like planning, stand-ups, retros etc..

    + Manage the projects within the product family, arrive at requirements, timelines, manage the stakeholder communication and the entire life cycle of project management (Ideation to delivery)

    + Maintain a balance between business viability, user desirability and technical feasibility while delivering software products with a team.

    + Work with Product Designers and Software engineers to ensure timely delivery of designs and assets to the development team.

    + Work hands-on with the cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets requirements.

    + Collaborate with the product team to define specs, requirements, and acceptance criteria for product capability and deliverables.

    + Help Business Partners understand our iterative development approach and our focus on incrementally delivering value through careful and deliberate prioritization.

    _Deliverables_

    + Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define product vision, strategy and the roadmap for the product or product family. This includes collaboration with Product Owners and key business Stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

    + Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Elicit and prioritize requirements from stakeholders across the teams, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and resource constraints.

    + Product Design & Development: Collaborate with Architects and product designers, software engineers to design, develop, and launch new features and improvements to the product family. This includes creating detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

    + Product Discovery: Employ various product discovery techniques to identify and validate product opportunities.

    + Product Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor platform performance, user adoption, and identify areas for improvement. This includes analyzing usage data from post launch, conducting user surveys, and gathering feedback.

    + Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, engineering, and business units.

    + Customer Discovery: Regularly engage with users to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations. This includes conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

    + Leadership Reviews: Prepare and present regular product updates and performance reviews to leadership.

    + Change Management: Achieve organizational targets and business value metrics

     

    You'll have...

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    + 3+ years of experience in a product manager or software engineering role.

    + Demonstrated experience building / product-owning critical applications for industrial use cases that demand a combination of business / manufacturing / technical prowess.

    + Experience in working with Agile and Lean methodologies including defining and prioritizing product features and working with backlog management tools.

    + Proven experience driving business OKRs through product development, data analysis, and user experience optimization.

    + Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven product decision-making.

    + Proficiency in modern technology stack and familiarity with cloud infrastructure and AI technologies.

    + High organizational, planning and time management skills; ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, complex and global environment.

    + Experience with Test-Driven Development, Paired Programming, and Continuous Integration & Development.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building products that improve patient outcomes.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.

    + Successfully built and shipped consumer or business facing products; worked in a large team; and has Integration experience

     

    Even better, you may have...

     

    + Exposure to CaaS / GCP / MS SQL Functions and Services for building distributed applications.

    + Exposure and experience with Ford Architectural standards, processes, and documentation.

    + Proven ability to lead a team to deliver on large complex and ambiguous projects that are highly interfaced from end-to-end.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with business team members on a global level and negotiate solutions and drive consensus across platforms.

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate many services and a wide range of global business and technology partners.

    This position is a range of salary grades **6-8.**
